Preparing for Christmas

Well, it's coming around to that time of year again - and I am lucky to say that I do love Christmas!

Stampin' Up has a lot of versatile stamps, DSP, punches, dies and embellishments to truly make this season special. There is a lot to choose from in the Holiday Catalogue, and it is sure to get your inspiration flowing!

Here is the card I made using the Wrapped in Plaid suite:

The background matt was made by inking a rectangular piece of Whisper White Cardstock in Soft Sea Foam (direct inking with the pad), spritzing it with water, and then sanding back after it was semi-dry. I just love the distressed look!

The tag was used by punching one end of a strip of 2.9 cm wide Whisper White cardstock with the Timeless Label punch from the Memorable Mosaic suite, like this:

This is a good way to use any of the beautiful label punches from Stampin' Up to make tags for Christmas!

And here is a selection of some of the cards I made with the Wrapped in Plaid suite - so much you can do! The cardstock I used were: Cherry Cobbler, Shaded Spruce, Night of Navy, Balmy Blue, Mint Macaron, Real Red and Whisper White. I also used matching ink pads in the green, red and navy and the Nature's Twine to tie the Jingle Bells. Some cards I used the Flower Faceted Gems instead of a Jingle Bell, to add a bit of bling.

Happy crafting!
